Our Healthy Environment
As we strongly encourage and promote healthy eating, we kindly request that you provide a varied and healthy menu. Fruits and vegetables are to be prepared and cut for children to consume. Cherry tomatoes and grapes are to be cut lengthwise in order to avoid choking. Taking into account children’s allergies, nuts of any kind are not permitted. This includes Nutella, peanut butter and all foodstuffs with traces of nuts. After mealtimes, the children’s lunch containers are returned home with leftovers so that parents can monitor their child’s intake. In support of safety, parents are advised to pack their children’s meals in non-glass containers.
We ask that you kindly adhere to our food policy. For more information, please see the Nursery Healthy Eating Policy.
As the children in our care are very young, a clean and hygienic environment is paramount.
We have cleaners on site who follow a strict schedule to maintain the hygiene of the nursery.
Further deep cleaning is conducted outside of the nursery’s normal operating times.
Our duty to protect the children in our care is taken very seriously. We have strict exclusion guidelines for vomiting, diarrhoea, and fever. This also applies to any communicable diseases. If your child shows a fever of 37.8 Celsius or higher, you will be required to collect your child from the nursery and an exclusion period of 24 hours will be applied.
Prescribed medication is administered on site by our licensed nurse. The nurse can only administer medicine that has been prescribed by a doctor. Any medication arriving at the nursery without a prescription label or a printed prescription will not be accepted.
